David Bowie
Worked closely with David Bowie on the concepts & the stage design.
David wanted an artists studio complete with drop cloth’s & canvas backdrop left over from Roy Bennett’s design for the NIN / Bowie collaboration, original set pieces were repurposed too.
The Tour featured live video projection & Tony Oursler projected dummy heads, mannequins, flying orbs, scary monsters & super creeps.
Stage design would evolve during the Earthling & Outside tours culminating in David’s 50th Birthday Concert Madison Square Garden.
MSG concert was filmed with Director by Tim Pope.
The Birthday concert featured special guests including: Lou Reed, Robert Smith, Sonic Youth, The Foo Fighters, Frank Black Billy Corgan.
